Our Pastor

Pastor H. Lee Turner has been at the Community Baptist Church for over 20 years and served in many different capacities at the church.  He lives with his wife Traci (Executive Director of Perfect Balance) and two sons Isaac and Nicolus. They also have five adult daughters and six grandchildren.

He has been the Pastor since 2010.  Pastor Turner has done outreach, children’s, youth and adult ministries. He is on a number of boards and committees: The Mayors Gang Task Force, The Health Taskforce of Sonoma County, Martin Luther King Birthday Celebration Committee, Race Equality Week Committee, The North Bay Organizing Project and others.

Since becoming Pastor there have been ministries added to the church, such as the Wise and Wonderful, Leadership Trainings, Special Needs, Heart to Heart, The Chain Breakers, Youth Praise Dancers and more. There have also been new technologies added to the ministries, the Church website, and a number of media additions. Under Pastor Turner’s leadership, the church’s properties have been upgraded by adding new roofs, solar energy, a new parking lot, and many other upgrades.

He is and has also affiliated with a number of other organizations such as the Interfaith Ministerial Alliance, The Redwood Gospel Mission, Social Advocates for Youth, California Homemakers Association, The Peace and Justice Center, the Dream Alliance, the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County and many more.

He is an Ordained Baptist Minister, also the Executive Director of a program called, “The Collaborative.” This is a program that is funded by the County of Sonoma Health Dept. It deals with people with mental illness in a preventive capacity. It houses the Village project and Saturday Academy which are both faith-based programs for all ages. It helps with the funding of the Bridge to the Future Rites of Passage for youth ages 14-18, also it houses The Safe Harbor Project which uses music as a way to relieve stress.

He holds a BSBA, an MBA from Colorado Technical University, and he is currently working towards his Doctorate in Business Management.

He is not only a Pastor to the Community Baptist Church he is also a Pastor to the community.
