First Time Visitor

Hello, and welcome to Community Baptist Church! We're a friendly church that welcomes all in our community. We know that meeting a new congregation can be intimidating, but we want to help make your first experience at CBC a great one! As a first time visitor, here's what you can expect when you attend our services:

Our services include singing and Bible teachings. Our singing is an act of worship to God; feel free to sit, stand, or dance. This is followed by a 30 to 45-minute message from Pastor Turner.

You’ll see a wide range of dress here, from jeans to suits to traditional African attire. Community Baptist Church is for everyone!

We have free parking available in the church parking lot.

Welcome Team

You will be greeted by our friendly welcome team when you arrive. If you have any questions, they’ll be happy to help.

Kids between the ages of birth to 12 years old can participate in our fun, safe, Kids Ministry during each service.

Fellowship Hall

You’re welcome to enjoy a free cup of coffee, tea or continental breakfast in our Fellowship Hall before and after service. Come early or stay late and enjoy fellowship with others.

Your family’s safety is our highest priority. We have trained security personnel and a precautionary safety protocol to keep our church a safe place to visit.

Not Sure About Christianity?

Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). Only Jesus Christ – and no other – died on the cross for your sins. Only He promises you the hope of Heaven. Jesus essentially said the only way you can be certain your sins are forgiven and to know you will spend eternity in Heaven is by putting your complete trust in Him.

The Bible says, “He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit” (Titus 3:5. NLT).

As most of you know, the continued spread of COVID-19 has resulted in the current Shelter in Place order to be extended to at least May 3, 2020. We urge everyone to stay safe and healthy and continue to abide by the laws and rules set in place to help stop the spreading of this virus. Community Baptist Church will remain closed as long as the Shelter in Place is in effect and we ask that our members continue to refrain from coming to the church, for the health and safety of yourselves, your families, and our staff and their families, as well as the community. We will continue to bring you updates, services, prayer and bible studies online and thank you for your support. Good Friday and Easter Sunday services will be done via livestream on Facebook.

Since Easter celebrations have been canceled this year, and there are many families and individuals that stand in need- especially of food support, we are teaming up with California Homemakers Association to do a Spring/Easter food distribution and Easter bag giveaway on Saturday, April 11th at Community Baptist Church, 1620 Sonoma Avenue, Santa Rosa. We will be set up in the parking lot of the church.

We are asking our members and the community to donate items needed and volunteers to drive donations to people who cannot drive to the church- doorstep drop-off delivery of course.

FOOD GIVEAWAY: If you are in need of food supplies, or would like to donate food supplies needed or volunteer, we ask that you call California Homemakers Association NO LATER THAN MONDAY, APRIL 6TH, so we can ensure we have enough for everyone and can put the bags together for distribution. They can be reached at 707-591-9573.

EASTER BAGS: If you would like to sign up to pick up Easter bags for your children, or would like to arrange a day and time to drop off donations of bags of WRAPPED candy, please call Maria Dwyer at Community Baptist Church 707-546-0744 x 304 NO LATER THAN MONDAY APRIL 6TH.
