About Us
Community Baptist Church was established in 1951. In May 1962, Rev. James E. Coffee was installed as pastor. Many things were accomplished under Pastor Coffee's leadership, whose devotion to the community led to the development of numerous outreach and service programs that continue today. On April 6, 2010, our beloved pastor of 48 years went to be with the Lord. In November 2010, we elected Rev. Dr. H. Lee Turner as pastor. Since then, ministers Rev. Michael Francis, Rev. Kenny Parker, and Reverend Jerome Simms have become ministers of our church.

While our congregation has relocated and changed some over the years under the leadership of Rev. Coffee, our dedication and commitment to providing our community with a friendly place to worship, learn, support, and serve others have never waned. Currently led by Pastor Turner, we provide a variety of spiritual, educational, and other community-focused programs for adults and children. We offer bible studies nearly every day of the week, Sunday School for children and adults, and offer fun, educational events throughout the year. We have also developed a number of youth-oriented programs including Saturday Academy a youth-mentoring program for young people 13 years old and younger, and the Village Project for children 4-12 years old.
Our mission is to enable people to realize their full potential in Christ and to connect their passions, skills, and gifts to the community and the world.
